The main purpose of this role is to prepare and load all orders for retailers in compliance with Health & Safety Rules.

Key Responsibilities

To complete barrow checks before starting. Signing them in and out and documenting any faults.
To ensure all minimum date stock is used and correct labels ordered.
To pick and strap pallets when required.
To check the minus sheet for orders and to ensure Numbers are correct.
To prepare the electronic / manual load plan (depending on retailer)
To check pallets and labels are correct.
To ensure the order is complete in full – compare the load plan against the order.
Ensure before loading vehicle, the keys are handed into office and time documented on log.
To check temperature and hygiene of lorry as per SOP.
To ensure the load is secure with Bar or Straps.
Ensure delivery notes are signed by the driver and copies handed into despatch office.
To return keys to driver.
To keep the despatch area safe and clean.
To ensure daily targets are achieved.
