Mansfields Wins Cold Storage Operator of the Year for Second Year Running

Mansfields have been awarded the title of Cold Storage Operator of the Year for a second year running at the 2025 Cold Chain Climate Summit, following their 2024 win and building on earlier recognition in 2023 for Energy Efficiency: Small Cold Store of the Year.

The recognition also saw the business named as a finalist in Leadership in Sustainability, reflecting the work being delivered across its operations to improve efficiency, reduce environmental impact and invest in the future of the cold chain.

The Cold Chain Climate Summit, attended by industry leaders from across the sector, recognises organisations driving meaningful change in areas such as energy efficiency, emissions reduction and innovation.

“We’re well into our journey and the biggest thing is maintaining the momentum that we’ve had. We won the award last year and we’ve won it again this year.

It’s a marathon, not a sprint. We’ve built a whole new store this year, we’ve recycled an entire building which was an impressive day – watching that being moved across site and then repurposed. There’s a big variety of things we’ve done this year and we should be proud of everything.”

Richard Doyle,

Head of Safety and Sustainability, Mansfields

By combining long-term investment with a collaborative, business-wide approach, Mansfields continues to demonstrate how operational performance and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.

As the cold chain sector continues to evolve, the business remains focused on maintaining this momentum - building on its progress and continuing to set a strong example for sustainable cold storage across the industry.
